The six artists in Unbroken Current dive deeply into their respective narratives, ranging from an imagined utopia or dystopia, to personal and contemporary, to ancestral and post-colonial. The work investigates cultural and personal identity, social justice, and history through the lens of photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. It weaves history through contemporary events like an unbroken current, from a combination of disparate histories and cultures that shape the artists as individuals.
