West Branch Gallery and Sculpture Park partners with HDAC to Support “FOR YOUR EYES ONLY” Benefit Gala

Stowe, VT.− At the West Branch Gallery & Sculpture Park’s exhibit opening
of work by Mariella Bisson and Susan Wahlrab on March 5, both community
cooperation and fine art will be on view. The Helen Day Art Center and the West
Branch Gallery & Sculpture Park are teaming up to promote the Helen Day’s
annual gala March 12, and give Stowe’s art supporters a deal in the process.

The Helen Day’s gala is widely known in Stowe as the must-attend party of
the year. This year’s event -titled “For Your Eyes Only”- will be held at Stowe
Mountain Lodge. “Bond” themed attire is encouraged, black tie is optional.
Tickets for this first-class event are $125 each if purchased before March 4th.
Chris Curtis, owner of West Branch Gallery wishes to make this as accessible as
possible. “We’ll give everyone who buys art at the West Branch Gallery’s opening
March 5 two tickets to the Helen Day Art Center’s benefit gala.” gallery owner
Chris Curtis says. “It’s our way of supporting the jewel of Stowe’s art community:
the Helen Day Art Center.”

The West Branch Gallery, with its airy spaces and highly regarded mix of
contemporary regional and international artists, has long brought innovation and
culture to Stowe’s art scene. From an exhibition of Austrian Holocaust survivor
Ceija Stojka last year to their forthcoming exhibition “Outside: New Visions of
Nature,” the gallery has bravely expanded the artistic offerings and events in
Stowe. Like the Helen Day, the West Branch Gallery has placed a premium on
curatorial integrity and organizational creativity, inviting art historians, critics,
artists and art writers to speak at their openings. Their March 5 opening will
feature comments by David Schutz, the Vermont State Curator.

The West Branch Gallery isn’t the only group in Stowe feeling generous in the
lead-up to the March 12 Helen Day gala. Artists from around the region have
donated art for the silent auction at the Helen Day’s gala fundraiser. A seated
dinner at the Stowe Mountain Lodge will begin the evening, then music by local
funk legend Dave Grippo will get the dancing started. As always, it will be an
evening not to be missed.

This year, Stowe’s art supporters can start the celebration with West Branch

Gallery’s opening March 5, and then present their free tickets at the Helen
Day gala March 12. The dining and dancing will be all the sweeter, knowing
an original work of art awaits you at home, a reminder of your participation in
Stowe’s rich artistic community, and a pleasure for years to come.
