| Improve your photography skills during this 4 week workshop. Classroom discussions and equipment demonstrations will prepare participants for photo-ops in historic Stowe village and at scenic spots around town. Specialized close-up techniques will equip the novice and advanced photographer to capture successful images of botanical subjects. The field portion of this workshop will be slow-paced, and will likely be done on paths and even terrain. Students are required to bring their own digital or film camera and appropriate memory cards or film. Recommended gear includes: accessory lenses, tripod, sturdy footwear, raincoat, cap, sunscreen and water. Digital cameras of all levels may be used. |

| Go green and look fabulous all at once! You will learn how to take that old, funky jewelry that you've never worn and make it new and fashionable. Using beads, wire work and sterling silver you will create new pieces out of old. Students should bring two sets of pliers; needle nose and narrow flat nose pliers, and wire cutters, as well old beaded jewelry to take apart, or other beads they wish to work with. | ||

| Spend an afternoon with Bob Straus, a professional commercial photographer for over 40 years. He's traveled the world on assignment, with a client list that includes CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox Sports, Arnold Palmer Enterprises, Nike, NFL, NBA, USTA, USGA, Popular Photography, Time, Sports Illustrated, Penske Racing, Polo Ralph Lauren, and CARE. Learn about shooting in various conditions with a film mindset. Spend time in the field honing your digital photography skills in order to make the best possible images. Basic photography skills are required for this intermediate level workshop. Rain date: October 21st. |

| This class will focus on drawing the figure from nude models and is a great way to develop both drawing and observational skills. We will use a variety of drawing media including pencil, charcoal, and ink to investigate the use of line, value, texture, perspective, composition and space in the development of descriptive drawing. No previous drawing experience is necessary. Some materials provided. | ||

| Get familiar with the wheel! We will learn how to center clay and make small vessels such as cups, bowls and vases. Become proficient at throwing basic shapes so that later you will be able to use these skills to create more complex forms later. Basic glazing techniques and an introduction to the kiln will also be discussed. Supplies & kiln use included! Class is limited to only 4 participants - so sign up now! | Learn the old world art of stained glass. Creating a simple first project will help you learn the techniques of cutting glass (scoring and breaking), the Tiffany method of copper foiling, soldering and finishing touches. Design, color and composition will also be covered. Enjoy a brief art history slide show on stained glass as well. Supplies are included, however early sign-up is necessary so that they can be ordered! DEADLINE for registration is: Friday, Oct. 15th. |

| Capture the brilliant colors of the autumn foliage with award winning local artist Lisa Beach. There will be an emphasis on creating a well designed and interesting composition. Lisa will demonstrate her process of painting and then students will work on their own followed by a critique. Hands on assistance will be provided by the instructor. | Learn to paint the beautiful fall landscape with renowned watercolorist Robert O'Brien. The class will begin with a demonstration by the instructor who will explain his technique for capturing the essence of the subject in a short amount of time. Students will then paint for the duration of the class followed by a critique. Hands on assistance will be provided by the instructor.
